摘要
Wireless powered communication (WPC) can provide the wireless devices (WDs) practically infinite energy for information transmission, by deploying multiple power beacons (PBs) as dedicated energy transmitter. To enable efficient transmission in WPC, this paper proposes a PB deployment strategy where the distribution of PBs is subject to a truncated Poisson cluster process (PCP), and develops a two-tier correlated PCP model for the WPC network. We consider the wireless energy transfer (WET) between WDs and PBs is achieved by either directed mode or isotropic mode. We first investigate the distance distribution between WD and PB in the associated cluster, and derive numerically computable expression for the lower bound of the energy outage probability. Then, we obtain the moments of the conditional energy outage probability and the approximations for the energy meta distribution. The derived energy meta distribution provides fine-grained information to show what fraction of WDs in the network satisfies the target energy outage constraint if the required energy to perform channel inversion power control is given. Numerical results verify the accuracy of the analytical results, compare the network performance with other PB deployment strategies such as untruncated PCP model and symmetric model, and present the impacts of key network parameters on the network performance. Our analysis provides insightful guidelines for the efficient PB deployment strategy to operate a PB-assisted WPC network.
