Synthesis, characterization, electrochemical properties and crystal and molecular structures of [HOs3(CO)(10)(O2CC5H4FeC5H5)] and [{Os3H(CO)(10)}(2)(O2CC5H4FeC5H4CO2)]

摘要
Two new air-stable triosmium clusters, [HOs3(CO)(10)(O2CC5H4FeC5H5)] (1) and [{Os3H(CO)(10)}(2)(O2CC5H4FeC5H4CO2)] (2), were obtained from the reaction of the labilized cluster [Os-3(CO)(10)(CH3CN)(2)] and the corresponding ferrocenecarboxylic acid and were characterized by spectroscopic methods and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The redox properties of both complexes were studied by cyclic voltammetry at ambient temperature; both exhibit a reversible electron transfer process.
