摘要
The main aim of the present study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) in a sample (N=412; M=13.19 years; SD=1.41) of Portuguese youths. Confirmatory Factor Analysis revealed that a refined two-factor structure was the best option, with cross-gender measurement invariance being demonstrated. The measure also demonstrated adequate psychometric properties, namely in terms of its reliability, discriminant validity, criterion-related validity, and known-groups validity. The findings mostly justify the use of this measure among Portuguese youths.
