摘要
This paper presents a comparative analysis of grid-connected inverters (GCI) to improve voltage-based power quality in distributed generation and microgrid applications. Different GCIs considered for comparison are shunt, series, hybrid with two inverters, and proposed hybrid with one inverter. Required kVA ratings of different GCIs are compared for voltage quality problem. The performances are examined including the maximum voltage quality problem that can be mitigated. Also, power electronic design considerations including a number of switches, number of inverters, control complexity, relative transient risk are evaluated. Theoretical analysis and experimental results are presented to evaluate performances comparatively.
