The effect of Co-addition on the structure and the magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B-based exchange spring magnets was investigated on the system of Nd12-xCoxFe82B6 (x = 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8) fabricated by using a melt-spinning method with different quenching rates. With appropriate concentrations of Co, the glass-forming ability (GFA) and the performance of the material could be significantly improved. The maximum energy product of 17.5 MGOe and a Curie temperature of about 640 K were achieved with Co-concentration of 4%.
