Dimension of Quality of Life and Factors Related to it among Cardiac Patients after Heart Surgery

摘要
Cardiovascular disease are the most common and important cause of death all over the world, which affect the patients, quality of life. These disease involve many problems for patients and cost a lot of the society. The aim of this study was to determine the quality of life and factors related to it among cardiac patients after heart surgery and the relationship between quality of life with some demographic variables. Materials and methods: This study is descriptive-cross sectional method. In this study 110 heart,s patients participated after heart surgery referring to Rasht heshmat hospital that were selected un randomly and through a goal-oriented or purposive sampling method. The Data was collected through an interview, patients self report and referring to their records. Data collecting tool was a questionnaire in two parts, demographic properties and standard quality of life (sf-36) questionnaire.Data were analyzed by using SPSS version 16 software, and descriptive and analytical statistical methods.significant level p <= 0/05. Results:Findings showed that According Anova test there are significant relationship between different Dimension of quality of life with different age groups except Role limitation due to physical health and Role limitation due to emotional problems. According Independent t test there are significant relationship between gender Physical Functioning(p=0.039) and General health(p=0.001) and mental health(p=0.002). According Anova test, there are significant relationship between marital status with some different Dimension of quality of life such as: physical functioning(p=0.00 3),General health(p=0.0 31),Vitality(p=0.00 2) and mental health(p=0.001), and there are significant relationship between educational level with all different Dimension of quality of life with different educational level groups except Pain, there are significant relationship between different employment status group with different Dimension of quality of life such as: physical functioning (p= 0.000),General health(p= 0.001),social functioning (0.006),vitality(p= 0.008) and mental health(p= 0.000). there are significant relationship between duration of infection of heart disease with Dimension of quality of life except Role limitation due to physical health and Role limitation due to emotional problems and there are significant relationship between count hospitalization due to heart disease with Dimension of quality of life except Role limitation due to physical health and Role limitation due to emotional problems. Conclusion; Regarding to this study results is need to give patients trainings about self caring behaviors and emphasized on its doing. Till effects on promotion quality of life in patients after heart surgery.
