The problem of the measurement of watt-hour efficiency of power electronic circuits

The paper refers measurements of watt-hour efficiency of power electronic circuits. The classical manner of the indirect measurement of the efficiency basing on measured values of terminal voltages and currents of considered class of circuits was described. Technical data of chosen multimeters are analysed and results of measurement of their frequency characteristics and dependences of errors of the measurement on the shape of measured signal are shown. Influence of the correctness of the measurement of ac voltages on the error of the watt-hour efficiency of power electronic circuits was discussed.
