This review explains the role of point-of-care ultrasound in cardiac arrest rhythm classification and the diagnosis of reversible causes, discusses available protocols for the application of ultrasound to Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and summarizes principles for its safe implementation. © 2021, the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
