Phase transitions in organic conductors and superconductors - The role of external and internal pressure

摘要
The field of organic conductors and superconductors has been developing rapidly since the first molecular metal was discovered. The most numerous and main group of organic conductors contains compounds based on planar organic donor molecules with sulfur or selenium atoms complexed to various anions. This review discusses phase transitions in low-dimensional organic conductors. A generalized phase diagram for superconductors of the (TMTSF)(2)X type is presented and discussed; the role of competition between insulating and superconducting ground states is stressed. The effect of external and internal pressure on the formation of the electronic ground states is illustrated by selected data of electron spin resonance studies of organic conductors and superconductors.
