摘要：

India is facing severe shortage of electricity and it is projected that by 2012, India will have to add approximately another 150,000 MW to its current installed capacity which is approximately an average increase of 10,000 MW annually. The country is thus likely to fall way behind the required capacity additions. A phase program developed which considers the use of wind power is proposed. Its policies and implementations are discussed.
