摘要
Parkinson's disease (PD) threatens human beings' life and health largely, and early diagnosis of PD is important for its treatment. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy can detect biomacromolecular changes in cells/tissues sensitively. In this study, we compared PD patients' and healthy persons' serum using FTIR spectroscopy and obtained the following results: 1. Significant differences were existed between peak-area ratios such as A3294/A3067, A1399/A1451 and A1243/A1313. 2. The protein secondary structure changed after PD occurred. 3. The combination of IR spectra and discriminant analysis could distinguish PD patients from healthy persons with 93.44% the sensitivity, 77.27% the specificity, 91.94% the accuracy and 89.16% the positive predictive value. These results suggest that FTIR spectroscopy may be a potentially helpful tool for early diagnosis of PD.
