摘要
In this paper, an analysis has been made to study thermal-diffusion (Soret) and diffusion-thermo (Dufour) effects on a mixed convective flow past an infinite vertical porous plate in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The plate is subjected to experience a transverse sinusoidal suction velocity, which makes the flow three-dimensional. In this analysis, the thermal radiative effect has also been taken into account. The magnetic Reynolds number of the flow is considered being less so that the strength of the induced magnetic field can be neglected. The non-linear partial differential equations, governing the flow, are solved by a regular perturbation technique. The Rosseland approximation is used to describe the radiative heat flux in the energy equation. A parametric study to demonstrate the influence of the radiation parameter, magnetic parameter, Soret number, Dufour number, Grashof number, Prandtl number, Schmidt number and Reynolds number on the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles of thermally assisting flow has been presented graphically. Schematic discussions are also made on the skin-friction coefficient, heat transfer coefficient and mass transfer coefficient.
