摘要：

Animals play a significant role as one of the important elements in human living environment. It is hard to imagine what the world will be if animals disappear from human life. The emphasis of the animal welfare is not on that human cannot utilize animals, but on how to utilize animals in reasonable and humane ways, in order to assure the basic welfare of the animals that contribute and sacrifice for human beings. Animal keepers, as the most direct ones who contact with animals, their attitudes of animals will directly impact the quality of animal welfare. This essay demonstrates the necessary to further develop the keepers' mind of the animal welfare concept, through the investigation of the animal keepers' minds of animal welfare among 299 animal keepers from five zoos, which the result is not a pleasant one.
