摘要
We characterize the sets x of all products PQ, and n of all products PQP, where P, Q run over all orthogonal projections and we solve the problems arg min{parallel to P - Q parallel to : (P, Q) is an element of Z}, for Z = x or n. We also determine the polar decompositions and Moore-Penrose pseudoinverses of elements of x. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
