摘要
This article aims to discuss education as a mechanism for the integral formation of the subject, for the transformation of society through a new critical/reflexive view. The 21st century has been marked by a vigorous critical reflection on educational issues. As for the approach, the present research is characterized as qualitative, is presented under a bibliographic and documentary methodology. Essentially based on the theoretical support of Paulo Freire, the study brings to light a discussion about an education which is liberating and committed to human development. In conclusion, integral development permeates integral education as a right of citizenship in its multiple dimensions and enables the protagonist individual to be aware of his moral condition, enabling mutation through understanding with elucidation from social understanding, widens the perspective on the possibilities of education beyond school.
