Spectroscopic characterization of some new boron complexes of imines having N-O and N-S donor systems

摘要
Eighteen new complexes of triisopropoxyborane have been prepared with biologically active ligands having NO and N S donor systems. These complexes of the types (N X)(3), B(OPr) (N X)(2) and B(OPr)(2)(N X) were obtained by 1:3, 1:2 and 1:1 molar reactions of B(OPr')(3) with heterocyclic ketimjnes in benzene solution and the liberated isopropanol was fractionated off azeotropically with benzene. The resulting new complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molecular weight determinations and spectral studies including IR, (1H)-NMR, B-11-NMR and C-13-NMR spectra.
