摘要:
An injection-locked oscillator multiplies a 5-6GHz input by 3 to generate I/Q LO signals for 17GHz HiperLINK applications. Symmetrical injection via a polyphase prefilter minimizes I/Q errors. LC delay lines set the measured free-running frequency to 16.24GHz with a locking range of 14.6-17.86GHz for a 0dBm (50Omega) input. Input-to-output phase noise degradation is negligible, and I/Q amplitude and phase errors are <0.17dB and <2(0), respectively. Power consumption of the 1.2 x 1.4 mm(2) 0.2mum SiGe BiCMOS testchip (excluding buffers) is 22mW at 2.2V.
