摘要
Human development can be measured by several different methods. United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) publishes every year the Human Development Report (HDR), where four composite indices for human development have been created since the first Report was published in 1990. Computations of these indices are multi-criteria decision problems. In this paper we compare results of the standard computational approaches with results of other quantitative methods based on multi-criteria decision making (WSA, PROMETHEE, and TOPSIS). All methods are applied on the newest data set published in 2009. For purpose of this paper we have chosen data for the EU member countries and some other countries for comparison.
