摘要:
We propose a solution methodology for designing the refractive index profile of an optical fibre, from the partial knowledge of its corresponding dispersion curves. This methodology is based on the Newton method and uses the exact Frechet derivatives of the guided modes (propagation constant and its corresponding field) with respect to the refractive index profile. Several numerical results will be presented to illustrate the performances of the proposed computational methodology.
