摘要：

Propagation of electromagnetic TE waves in a nonlinear dielectric layer with generalized Kerr's nonlinearity is considered. The layer is located between two isotropic nonmagnetic semi-infinite media with constant electrodynamic parameters. The dispersion equation for the eigenvalues of the problem (propagation constants) is derived. The behavior of dispersion curves is qualitatively analyzed. Propagation of waves in a nonlinear metamaterial is studied.
