Species correction factors for resistance- and capacitance-type moisture meters were determined for bigleaf maple, California black oak, California-laurel (Oregon myrtle), giant chinkapin, Oregon ash, Oregon white oak, Pacific madrone, red alder, and tanoak. The correction factors can be used with the Wagner L-600 series capacitance-type and most resistance-type moisture meters in the range from 7 to 30 percent moisture content.
