摘要
Inductive wireless power transfer (WPT) is being explored as a future solution for charging the electric vehicles. Coil coupling is the critical issue in WPT in which transmitting coil (TC) is buried under the ground and receiving coil (RC) is on the chassis of vehicle. In this paper cases of asymmetrical circular, spiral, and rectangular coils are considered for coupling. COMSOL Finite element analysis (FEA) is used to determine and comment on the inductive parameters with the base of analytics. It also includes discussion on parametric variations like inner diameter, coil gap distance, different number of turns on TC and RC. The outcomes are compared for to select coil structure for charging the electric vehicle.
