摘要：

This paper describes well-known and new techniques for streaming video to a mobile device. It demonstrates that realistic video services are attainable for GPRS-enabled mobile handsets, by using a system developed at BT called 'Fastnets'. A review of current mobile streaming systems is provided, and the advantages of the Fastnets system are also described.
