Thermal stress analogue measurement and analysis of boiler drum

According to the theory of similarity, the feasibility and the similarity criteria for boiler drum analogue are studied. Some valuable data are obtained by the experiments of the operating analogue on a self-made test bed. The thermal stresses in the drum are calculated by use of the thermal stress function approach. The results of the computation are compared with the stresses measured by the analogue experiments. Finally, the stress level and stress concentration coefficients of the drum model are obtained.
