Normalization of the (6He,4He) cross sections in the distorted-wave Born approximation -: art. no. 054609

摘要
The normalization of the overlap between the He-6 and He-4 wave functions, which enters into the cross sections of the p(He-6,He-4)t and He-4(He-6,He-4)He-6 reactions, has been calculated in the translation-invariant shell model. It has been shown that when both antisymmetrization between individual nucleons and the center-of-mass motion are treated properly, the distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) cross sections of the p(He-6,He-4)t and He-4(He-6,He-4)He-6 reactions increase by the factor of 25/16 and (25/16)(2), respectively, as compared to those calculated in models considering the He-4 core of He-6 as structureless. The DWBA analysis of the available experimental data on these reactions has been performed using the shell model normalization obtained. It has been shown that at current level of knowledge of the reaction mechanisms and the input parameters associated with them, the shell model normalization does not contradict the experimental data.
