摘要：

Intertextuality is one of the most important textual characteristics, which manifests itself especially in scientific texts. The article compares the referential intertextuality in German and Chinese linguistic journal articles. It demonstrates in what forms and to what extent this textual characteristic is realized in both languages and explicates what the differences can be attributed to.
