摘要:
Single crystals of hydroxyapatite were grown by a flux method under high pressure of Ar gas using Ca-3(PO4)(2) and Ca(OH)(2) as starting materials. The crystals obtained had stoichiometric composition Ca-10(PO4)(6)(OH)(2). From the structure analysis of twin-free crystals using four-circle X-ray diffraction technique, the space group was determined to be P2(1)/b with cell parameters a = 0.9419(3)nm, b = 1.8848(6)nm, c = 0.6884(2)nm, gamma 119.98(2)degrees; a reliable factor was R-w=0.033. It was shown that O of the OH ion was located on the 2(1) axis while H of the OH ion was located on a little deviated site from the 2(1) axis.
