摘要
The Self-adjustable Temperature Asphalt Mixture (STAM) is a new road building material, which composite with PCM and asphalt mixture. The technical requirements of Phase Change Material (PCM) were put forward according to the characteristics of asphalt mixture. The temperature adjusting ability of STAM was analyzed using the heat transfer theory and the simulation test. Effects of PCM on road performance of STAM were analyzed by test. The results indicated that PCM could control temperature change of asphalt mixture, reduce the heating or cooling rate, delay the emergence time of heat extreme or cold extreme, and reduce the harmful effect of ambient temperature change on using temperature of asphalt mixture. PCM could improve the low-temperature anti-cracking performance of asphalt mixture in its optimal dosage, which was favorable for the immersion Marshall stability, but unfavorable for the highway temperature stability and the freeze-thaw durability. The key of harmful effect may lie in the liquid PCM leaked from the porous carrier, and this should be the key of the further study.
