摘要：
The DuO vehicle tracking and fleet management system is presented as an example for a mobile computing application. The paper focuses on the visualization of geographical information at a control centre, on the design of the on-board unit and on the interaction and communication between the onboard units and the control centre. The technologies of GPS positioning and GSM data communication are presented as they are used within the system. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
