A kinetic equation of solid-phase sintering is presented that relates the compaction rate with the growth rate of grains of polycrystals. Progressive allowance for the changes in the structure of porous solid bodies in sintering (statistical features of the shape and size of the pores, grains of polycrystals. and mosaic blocks) makes it possible to obtain a kinetic equation that describes sintering within the framework of the flow model without using purely phenomenological parameters. The results of a study of the flow model of solid-phase sintering show that the essentially uniform kinetic equation of the sintering process, which allows for the effect of grain growth on the reduction of the mobility of the structure of the porous body (the increase in its viscosity), is well substantiated and therefore more universal than the one suggested earlier.
