Liquid argon calorimeters are well known to have a stable response and easy to calibrate. For the ATLAS liquid argon calorimeter, physics goals require a 0.7 % total constant term and an excellent energy scale control. To achieve such a performance, a good calibration system and an understanding of main signal-dependent systematic effects need to be demonstrated The main signal dependence effects are discussed and the performance of the electronics calibration described.
