摘要
This article introduces a compact sine wave meander Archimedean spiral antenna designed by adding sinusoidal function to Archimedean function. Results simulated and measured show that the proposed antenna possesses fine wideband properties. The measured return loss is less than -10 dB in the frequency range of 1.625-10 GHz and the axial ratio is less than 3 dB within the design frequency range (1.63-10 GHz). Compared to a typical Archimedean spiral antenna in the same operating band, the antenna presented in this article has a 63.6% reduction in area. (C) 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
