摘要
In today's highly developing era, cities are getting smarter solutions for everyday problems. One such problem is about women's safety. Recently, there has been a lot of incidence which could have been avoided if there was a reliable safety solution for women. There are many applications based on women's safety most of which are cell phone based. The problem with these applications is that they depend on the phone's capabilities and constraints like a battery, network, and connectivity. Thus, they somehow become unreliable in real-world scenarios. This paper focuses on creating a safety module that provides extended security to women. This paper proposes a smart solution for enhancing women safety. The proposed system is a Raspberry Pi-based module which will be a roadside unit (RSU) deployed across the city where police stations are not easily available. This module uses RFID technology to identify individuals in case of emergency. When activated, the module sends out the location of emergency to the nearest police station and to the emergency number extracted from RFID tag. It contains GPS module for location information and GSM module for sending out an alert.
