Environmental restoration program technology initiatives

Over the past two years, the Department of Energy's (DOE's) Environmental Restoration Program has conducted a number of analyses to support a program goal of deploying the right technologies at the right time at the right sites. The initiatives included: defining problem sets and environmental conditions in the Environmental Restoration Program; developing Preferred Alternatives Matrices (PAMs) and requirements definitions; and identifying performance-based contracting opportunities. In combination with other DOE and federal agency efforts, these initiatives will facilitate informed decision making.
