摘要
We observed current plateaus in the I-V characteristics of Corbino or quasi-Corbino devices with a narrow constriction, containing a mesoscopic island, in the quantum Hall regime. We investigated the features of the current plateaus for different filling factors, island sizes and orientations. A qualitative physical picture including the quasi-elastic inter-Landau-level tunneling and the limitation of tunneling current due to charging of the nonequilibrium electron states around the island is proposed to explain the current plateau phenomenon.
