摘要
The hydroxyapatite-octacalcium phosphate interface was observed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) in crystals grown from aqueous solutions under microgravity and terrestrial conditions. The Digital-Micrograph software was used in order to perform phase analysis in nanoscale from experimental HRTEM images. The difference between space- and earth-grown octacalcium phosphate crystals is in amounts and sizes of the hydroxyapatite regions included in the crystals. Possible orientation relationships between two phases were determined. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
