摘要：

In this paper we discuss the notion of ontological system based on a linguistically motivated general ontology. We present a running project consisting in designing and implementation of a general ontology derived from a system of notions worked out to define syntactic requirements of verbs. Although initially based on the Polish language, we claim this system to be highly language independent (within the family of European languages). In the paper we discuss various methodological aspects of this project and present the actual stage of the on-going research.
