摘要
Reading proficiency is a critical skill to most academic learning. Our students need to be prepared for the 21st century demands; thus, one of our priorities is improving their reading strategies, among other higher order skills (e.g. decision-making, strategizing and CPS). Our focus is to improve reading comprehension of technical texts in a CPS setting through the development of higher order thinking skills in a technology mediated environment. The integration of CPS in the blended course Technical English 78.01 is shown. We provide an overview of the theoretical framework, a description of the design of the tasks, the implementation process and some preliminary results obtained. The research methodology used is qualitative and descriptive.
