摘要
Determination of hemoglobin A(1c) is still one of the most important monitoring procedures for long-term control of diabetes mellitus. Several analytical methods have been developed for the measurement of glycohemoglobin. Those most frequently used are chromatographic methods. In this study, a new turbidimetric immunoassay for HbA(1c) was evaluated and compared to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Coefficicnts of variations for within-run and between run analysis of the immunoturbidimetric method were 0,8 and 2,3 respectively. Schiff base, lipemia and hemoglobin F did not interfere with the test. Results of 50 diabetic and nondiabetic patients showed good correlation to those of the HPLC method (r=0,98).
