摘要
A novel design of the Ku/Ka dual-band shared aperture waveguide slot antenna is proposed in this paper. The rectangular ridge waveguide is used to reduce the aperture size. And the Ka-band waveguide antennas are mounted on the upper left and upper right of the Ku-band waveguide to effectively utilize the spatial size. The simulated results validate that the proposed antenna is capable of covering 15.76GHz similar to 16.26GHz (VSWR <= 2) and 34.95GHz similar to 36.74GHz (VSWR <= 2). The proposed antenna achieves low cross polarization within the operating band. And its structure is applicable to Ku/Ka dual-band satellite communication.
