摘要
In this paper we describe efforts for developing web based virtual reality tools for collaborative training that have recently been started under the WebSET project. In particular, we are developing a prototype application in the area of surgical training that takes advantage of open Internet standards such as XML (Extensible Markup Language) and VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language).
