摘要
The influence of molybdenum disulfide - a solid-film lubricant used to prevent seizure/galling in threaded connections of the steam generator collector of nuclear power plants (NPP) - on cracking 18 Cr-10 Ni type of steel was investigated. It was found that transgranular cracking started from thread roots or from the bottom of the thread of the steam generator flange made of austenitic 08Kh118N10T steel even in nonstressed conditions. It was stated that transgranular damage was caused by hydrogen embrittlement and local anodic dissolution of iron and nickel in environments with high pH(T).
