摘要
The objective of this paper is to design a microstrip fractal dipole antenna for multi- band applications in the UWB systems incorporating three notch bands. The Sierpinski, Hilbert and Giuseppe Peano fractals are used in different parts of the antenna structure to obtain the desire characteristics. The computer simulations of the designed antenna and the measurements of the fabricated prototype antenna for its input return loss, radiation patterns and gain indicate that the designed antenna has achieved its specifications for miniaturization, compactness and multiband applications in a simple structure. It has also achieved good impedance matching at its input, which is verified by its input return loss. The proposed antenna is thus suitable for UWB applications, such as wireless and mobile systems.
