摘要
The application-level quality of service (QoS) control for video-on-demand (VoD) is discussed. Various middleware properties such as QoS awareness, location awareness, and domain-specific adaptation are also presented. UbiQoS middleware which uses mobile agent technology and supports QoS tailoring and adaptation of VoD is also addressed. The results show the feasibility of application-level middleware solutions which are based on code mobility for Internet VoD services with differentiated QoS.
