摘要
This article presents the static and dynamic modelling of two bed adsorption chiller employing "CHA and AFI type zeolites" as adsorbents and water as adsorbate. The simulation is performed on the basis of experimentally confirmed adsorption isotherms and kinetics data. The performances are calculated in terms of SCP (specific cooling capacity) and COP (coefficient of performance), and these results are compared with experimental data. The simulation is carried out at different key operating conditions namely (i) heat source temperature and (ii) the cycle time. From numerical simulation, it is also found that AFI type zeolite such as AQSOA-Z01 shows the best SCP with the COP of 0.42 at the regeneration temperature of 60 degrees C. CHA-types zeolite such as AQSOA-Z02 is found suitable at higher regeneration temperature (>75 degrees C). AQSOA-Z05 type zeolite is found unsuitable for cooling application, but it works well at the regeneration temperature of 60 degrees C for heat pump or other heat transmission applications.
