Impact of the level of social and economic development of a region on the society activeness

The aim of the study is to present an influence of the level of socio-economic development on the society activeness. The research comprised two developmentally diverse agricultural voivodships: Podlaskie and Kujawsko-pomorskie. Different conditions result in the communities of the examined regions being diversified according. to economic entrepreneurship and social activeness. In the examined voivodships higher dynamics of the number of associations and social organizations were observed in the rural areas and rural gminas, much higher than the average for Poland, the highest being in Podlaskie Voivodship. The research results obtained show that a low level of socioeconomic development stimulates the development of social activeness in rural areas.
