摘要
Combined electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies show great promise for helping researchers to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the neural basis of behavior, including brain function and dysfunction. The aim of this paper is to review current knowledge and research on the use of combined fMRI and EEG data. We briefly examine the complementary features of the two techniques, and we then describe ways to acquire the two types of data, the relative advantages and disadvantages of acquiring them simultaneously, and strategies and methods for effectively combining them. We address topics related to both event-related and emergent neural activity.
