摘要
In this paper, a bidirectional radio-over-fiber system based on coherent optical OFDM (CO-OFDM) is proposed. In the downlink, the 60 GHz millimeter-wave (mm-wave) modulated by orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is generated by remote heterodyne detection. The uplink structure is CO-OFDM. Three analyses are applied in OFDM signal processing: pilot frequency inserting, cyclic prefix inserting, symbol synchronization. The "Monte Carlo" simulation method is used to research the system and the simulation result is analyzed by error vector magnitude. The simulation result indicates that the system has a good transmission performance at 40 km coverage span.
