摘要
We have developed a transmission method by which the number of multiplex channels can be ideally increased within the limited level, and we describe the concept of a transmission method that uses a virtual modulation with different transmission media. This modulation is based on simplex signals that have the same minimum-distance separation in n-dimensional Euclidean space. We show that the modulated signals produced have a constant level and are separated with the same minimum distance in n-dimensional Euclidean space. This feature is of practical use in OFDM and CDMA. In this paper, we describe the proposed modulation method and the structure of a transmission system using it. We explain the principle of modulation with the same-distance constellation in n-dimensional Euclidean space, and we show computer simulation results demonstrating the modulated signal formed in virtual space with the optimum detector. Finally, we evaluate the probability of error and the probability density function of level for the modulated signals.
