摘要
The effects of costimulatory molecules, CD80 and CD86, on protective immunity and DTH were examined in Hymenolepis nana-infected mice. Mice immunized by an oral administration of H. nana eggs showed complete protection when the mice were challenged with eggs. Treatment of mice with anti-CD80 and/or anti-CD86 could not suppress this protective immune responses. Moreover, complete protection against challenge infection with eggs was also observed in CD28 KO mice. We further examined the influence of CD80 and CD86 on DTH to H. nana egg antigen and cytokine production from sensitized lymphocytes in response to antigenic challenge in vitro. DTH reactions to egg antigen in immunized mice was partially suppressed by the treatment of anti-CD86 but not anti-CD80 as determined by footpad swelling. Suppression of interleukin-2 and interferon-gamma production from immunized mesenteric lymph node cells was only observed when the cells were treated with anti-CD86.
